And I'm sure watching those ECNL games will make her better.
Good coaches dont bench players they use strategy and develop.

Learning curve for the Coaches/Clubs too
Chill out people. Pay no attention to what the clubs are telling to today about the size of the teams or how they are gong to manage reserves because they have not done it yet. They will continue to get advice from the Home club in the case of Crossfire and FCP has close personal connections there too.
I doubt seriously that either club will stock a team with more than 20 regular rostered players since neither of the Northern ECNL clubs did that. They can bring kids up from the A teams if they need to or if they have earned a shot and that is where the reserves should be "placed".
Injuries will play a big part so even a 20 person roster (18 field players) is not as big as it sounds.
Further players NOT traveling are not charged for the travel costs so take a breath and let the coaches/clubs learn on the job!

25% Starting policy

Maybe Oregon will have a harder time finding this many kids, but it would not be wise to "bench" anyone.

I will bet you northern clubs had excess of 20+ players on their rosters. You said they dont. Lie number one.
Advice from home club and FC Portland connections? Lie two
But yes why don't you pay 10k to be on a weak team of 22

$10,000 is a mountain of money. You could buy a nice pick up for that kind of dough. And have enough left over to trick it out.

U14 21 rostered 20 active
U15 23 rostered 18 active
U16 19 rostered 18 active
U17 20 rostered 17 active
U18 25 rostered 19 active
the difference between rostered and active is that at U18 each team is allowed 4 discover players whilte the lower ages are allowed only 2. Additionally injuries and drop outs are also a constant factor as they are with any team.

Why don't you ask anyone on those teams and really inquire how many are on the roster to pay for other people....wow, if you are an indicator of an ecnl parent, I can only imagine the group of people in the car.
