Assembling great players is much different that developing players. It's not as obvious as you might think it is.

OSSA is the one example we have of consolidation, yet they have only two top quality girls teams to speak of (U17G and U18G).

While I agree consolidation is needed, it alone is not sufficient.

Excellent example…How many times did OSSA Consolidate bringing in other clubs…First LO and SS merged…Their teams didn't radically improve.
Next they added Willamette United, Oregon Soccer Academy, Oregon City SC, and Clackamas United. Finally they merged to create Crossfire Oregon.

None of this created the super club with the highly concentrated teams to real the world. This last merge with THUSC will be interesting to watch play out, but the one real conclusion you can already draw is consolidation alone does not make you a stronger club or team.
