EVEN IF your not on the ECNL squad. They will have plenty of kids to fill those gaps of the ones that go to ECNL. When it comes to girls soccer OPL is now the place to be. OYSA on the girls side is going to fade away.
I think your overestimating the effect a bit.

The top coaches should be taking the ENCL teams which only affects those few teams. Everything else remains the same.

I am expecting ENCL teams to practice up to 4 times a week. Thats a lot of time dedicated to that ENCL team. That coach is going to e judged based on that team as well so their attention will be much more on that team than any other team they may be a part of. Without a huge influx of new quality coaches I'm not sure how the rest of their non-ENCL teams will improve their coaching? At best they will be the exact same in coaching as before.

This guy doesn't really want the best team.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostCongratulations on your prosperity, first of all, and for sharing your status, political leanings, and tax bracket so eloquently. Super-classy. The reality is that you only want you and yours to be surrounded with those of like financial means in every situation. The best way to achieve this is to join an exclusive Country Club and never, ever leave those gates. For the rest of us, that would be ideal if you did that as well. The reality is that in life, and specifically here, the world game of soccer, the truly skilled and gifted players are going to come from all walks of life, and if you truly wanted your kid to play with the best, you would embrace that. You might find that those kids who do not have millionaire parents, like you, have an excellent work ethic and may, in fact, work long and hard to get to where you are...and might someday be your kids' boss. Oh, wait. That is what you are REALLY afraid of. You are hoping to beat them down with your really large, arrogant, self-entitled, checkbook to keep your kids in their overly-entitled bubble. Good luck with that. Here is hoping that the ECNL is truly a competitive showcase for the most talented kids in Oregon who work hard and EARN their spots.
Great post. That has always been their fear.

Inevitably the clubs top level admins will all be focused on ECNL. More likely than not the boys teams will just be kept around to fund the girls program.
....er...wait a minute....
....um.....let me get back to you on that...
...nevermind....
