Teams make a decision whether they want to play State Cup or President's cup, and then that is the tournament they enter. This is all under OYSA.

Additionally Oregon Premier League (OPL) will send teams down the US Club soccer regional path.

OYSA, any other team, teams can skip the OPL and register directly for US Club Soccer Regional path as well.

Provided their club registers their team with US Club Soccer... But no self-respecting OYSA/Timbers lemming would do this anyway as they KNOW that the US Youth Soccer regionals and nationals are WAY better...

Unless you don't qualify for you USYSA Regionals, then you can pay and join the US Club Regionals as a fallout, since anybody can play and is typically a bit lower of competition, but still good enough for non-state champions.

Our coach told us that if we don't qualify for Far West Regionals that we'll play US Club Regionals. Since we're already registered for US Club already, it's a simple process.

So your team has won US Club Regionals a few times, has it? You certainly haven't ever qualified your way in to any regionals...

Keep spouting your OYSA/Timbers lemming BS. It's entertaining to say the least.

Quite true. Other than some (and I mean some) quality teams, USYSA Regionals are not as difficult as Far West Regionals. Fact - any team can buy its way into USYSA Regionals. You do not have to win anything.

Slight correction…USYS Regionals and Far West Regionals are the same thing. What was meant is US CLub regionals is not as difficult as Far West Regionals. Any team can buy it's way into US Club regionals.
