    3 red cards?

Does anyone know why the U12 Westside Timbers Copa team got 3 red cards in their game against Eastside Timbers Red this past weekend?

Because that is how WST teaches them to play?

Because they are tired of losing to eastside routinely so tactics changed.

            Correction 4 red cards

I went to the OYSA website and they post red cards. It looks like they received 4 red cards. One was given to the coach. I do not have a high opinion of this coach but I think he may have been filling in for the head coach. I can't think of any reason for a team to get 4 red cards. Certainly not at this age or any other age for that matter.

You do realize your kid is terrible and doesn't justify how crazy you are?

Might be terrible but at least he's better than your kid. What do you do with all those daisies Johnny picks during games anyways?

It was 3 red cards for Westside in one game. (NPS team got the 4th red card of the season).
1 player received red card for violent conduct (2 game suspension pending)
1 player received red card for abusive language (1 game suspension pending)
Head coach received red card for irresponsible behavior (2 game suspension pending)

The suspensions unfortunately carry over to fall season. Apparently State Cup is considered a different league (even though spring season was called "state cup qualifying"). It will be interesting to see if they are really served or whether they will just be forgotten/forgiven. This should be easily determined as the player/coach should have an "R" or some designation next to their name on the roster for those first 2 games and would hence be ineligible to play/coach. Before every game in the OYSA league, the coach or manager has to print the roster (which lists BOTH teams) and this roster is presented to the ref. So whoever is the manager for their opponent those first 2 games should let us know.....

That is surprising they don't carry over to State Cup...are you sure of that?

                          Absolutely sure. I asked OYSA.

I can't believe the head coach received a red card. He is my sons coach and he is all class.

In the past a red card would be for a coach with a specific team...so if the red carded coach doesn't coach the same team in fall what happens the red adds just go away?
