1) you are wrong. you don't' know what you are talking about, because you probably only look at one girls group make all your judgements about OYSA

2)I have never heard anyone believe a 9-0 score says good things about a league or competitive group. All it says is how badly mismatched the two teams playing happen to be. It is also shocking that these two teams area from the same club…did no one in that club realize these teams were at such different levels before placing them in state cup together?

Only a truly classless club would have coaches who would let one of their own teams beat another of their own teams by a 9-0 score. There is no excuse to lay that kind of whipping on your own players. What a d-bag coach who would ever let that happen.

Split league is great, isn't it. Twice as many medals and trophies!!! Now even rec-level teams can claim to be state champions!!! What's not to like about it? Give me more OYSA/Timbers please!!!!

Actually, both are rec trophies. One just allows you to go to regionals. The other, well it just goes on your kid's shelf.

Both state cup winners can go to regionals. No difference there other than one of the regionals is more inclusive than the other. Doesn't matter either way. Most of the winners won't bother going to regionals and, if they do, will get 3 games max.

Because of the split OPL vs OYSA is any team going to feel like they are the best in the state. It made some teams have a chance that would never have had a chance. It is crazy, as these state cup games really prove nothing, somewhat disappointing for the girls playing them. Hey at least some parents that before would never have been able to say they have a state cup winner will now.

Really? That's interesting since we went last year and played in 5 games, including the semi-finals. You want to put Oregon down, but you should realize that there are a handful of pretty good teams.

I know I'll get roasted for this but I'm curious why OYSA hasn't posted at least the times and locations for the semi finals and finals of the state/president's cup. It seems that they should know how many fields they would need and since they have stated they will be in the Portland area - I'm not sure why there is a delay in posting the details.
