    Re: Gu14

Regarding the GU14 bracket. Kind of lame when two of the top teams are from WA and are not allowed to play in the tournament. Looks like it's Eugene's to lose.
Guess the "TA" didn't work in the WA Timbers favor here?
GW & OYSA: "We require you to play in our league. Give us your money. Buy our prescribed uniform. Fly our logo everywhere but go away when it comes to representing us at state cup and far west regionals - go play in Washington"
Maybe they should rethink their alliance participation? The benefits certainly are not visible from the outside looking in.

wash timbers will be there next year...the entire club will be moving to OYSA State Cup...
there wasn't enough time to get the paperwork done to get release by WSYSA

Not the entire club. U15 and above will do Washington State Cup. HS soccer is in Spring for Wa.

It locks in a Timbers Alliance OYSA state cup champion.
            So what's the problem?

Not quite sure what your point is...they wouldn't have been eligible to play in the OPL cup either...

                "Format
The OPL State Cup is a competitive tournament taking place at the end of the competitive calendar in Springtime. The tournament takes place over several weekends in April and May, and is designed as a traditional Cup competition, with group play progressing to knockout rounds later in the tournament.

                Eligibility Requirements:
All teams must be have participated in the OPL Fall or Winter Leagues, as bracketing depends on order of league finish and competitive viability within the league.
All teams must be from clubs within the state lines of Oregon. "

So I guess we know what age bracket your kid plays in...you might try broadening your vision beyond one bracket before posting...such a narrow view really makes you look silly.

I'm really only concerned with U14. Don't give a rats about any other.
Not silly at all? Just honest

Doesn't look silly to me. Why would someone give two cents about age groups there kid doesn't play in. The fact that you do tells everyone your a coach. Why else would you care about all age brackets.

I would question your motives if your support of youth girls soccer is so deep that it gets you tied up in the politics of it. Find a hobby!
