The RCL teams will take home the FWRL hardware and the Regionals spot every year. They view the FWRL as a bit of a joke but it's a good plan B for them just in case something goes wrong in state cup. Take a close look at the FWRL schedules this year and you'll see that most RCL teams haven't played but a couple of games. They all agreed to use league game results as substitutes for actually playing FWRL games... -

Just look at the teams competing in the FWRL. There is a reason things like NWCL exist. They are evolving a stagnated USYSA. There was a presentation that was linked on these forums a while back pretty much saying the same thing. It was from USYSA. They recognize it. Everyone loved the NWCL until the mass TA migration back to OYSA. Now, it's a who cares and FRWL is great. This is antiquated thinking. Soccer is moving away from state based competition and toward regional based competition. Look at the ECNL as an example. The DA is another example. Anyway you look at it, the top players and teams are no longer competing in the state cups, regionals, national process anymore. nope. The difference between Wash Timbers and your club is that Wash timbers aren't a bunch of tight asses and dual card all players.
