Are you moving or staying put?

Is now a good time to ask this question or should we wait till after State Cup?

Honestly, we are so sick of the politics and problems that we are hoping that our daughter wants to quit and do something else. I think it is too early to decide and we are really hoping for some compromise and improvements. I predict that this year there will be more complaining and questions but about the usual amount of movement as every other year. Will wait to see what happens, but will have a back up plan in case her team loses too many players.

I guess there is more than that if you include the Washington Cups the Vantucks play in.

My son is in the same boat - heavily weighing moving to football and basketball.

You don't really fill your daughter's head up with the BS that goes on with this forum do you?? or even with the split league?? My dd could care less and doesn't even really bother herself with it all. She competes and thats all that matters to her. I find your comment self centered and unbelievable. Your the one thats fed up with it, I doubt your daughter is.

Again, you have to be full of it. Really?? I highly doubt your son is sitting back having all of this "weigh heavy on him" what a bunch of self serving bs. Your the only one that is bothered by it.

My dd can't handle all of the bitterness and politics of OYSA so she is going to move to OPL after State Cup. She said a bunch of her friends are doing the same. She doesn't like the way OYSA/TA split the league and neither does half of her team. They just want to play in a competitive league that has a future. She's afraid of Vantucky parents and feels the pressure of politics on a daily basis. She told me the other day that she is putting up her MLS patch and picking a club in OPL.

Funny, mine is thinking the exact opposite. She is tired of playing in a fake league, playing all your B & C teams up and down an age bracket just so you have games to play, going to a fake regional, where anyone can attend, with two levels of skill, both calling themselves winners and advancing on and even worse a non supported national tourney. This is as good as it gets.

She's just tired of getting beat by Onyx. She can move to OYSA where you can just bypass Onyx all together. If you don't have Onyx in your league, then your league is inferior, that is as good as it gets... period

OYSA = the only thing we have are U11 & U12 to talk about. By the time they get to high school their clamoring to OPL teams so they can have a real future.
