We all know of over zealous parents that criticize coaches regarding playing time and game decisions. Most of these parents are not expert in the game of soccer. However, sometimes it goes the opposite way. Early in my youngest DD's club days we had one coach who informed us after tryouts that he never speaks to parents, ever. He wanted all questions directed through the team manager. She was nearly as clever as a box of rocks. Rarely did I have need to ask a question, but it was cumbersome at best. We just made plans to go elsewhere the next year but was rewarded with the coach being fired. In any event, local club coaches are rarely at the top of the soccer heap, but rather at the bottom. So, deal with it as adults and try not to affect the players.

I went to watch a GU11 game yesterday. No DD on either side (friends daughter playing). I randomly pick a spot to sit. Wow! Parents are F#$cking nuts. The visiting team was berating the home teams style of play. Actually calling out the players by name on the field. They were referring to the home coach as Hitler. They even starting in on neighborhood gossip about the players parents.

Here is the parents job- Pay club fees, drive to practice and games, support your child, sit on the sidelines and shut your mouth.

Did you read "If necessary" In modern language that means if you need to…Why do people post anonymously on here? For me, I used to be registered, and would try to ask a question and rather than getting responses I would just get personal attacks...

Hey last poster, who cares? Before I go to games I eat beans, lots and lots of beans, then I sit in the section where the opposing teams sits. Then I let the hilarity rip. Good times.
