My daughter plays for Eastside. Was told by a friend to read this thread. I gotta ask what's wrong with you people? My daughter's team trains on skills three times a week. I watch whenever it is my up in the carpool. Have never seen anything taught other than the technical aspects of the game. I have watched my daughters team now for 1.5 years and haven't seen the behavior at eastside spoken of here, neither in the stands or on the field. BTW it sounds like this Eastside coach in question was trying to rain in the physical play. You West sider's maybe don't like to lose to the kids from the Eastside and are being a little sensitive?

When we were "shopping" clubs for my daughter, we spent a few months with Eastside. Observed many practices and games of the girls' teams and boys. I was shocked how "neanderthal" the players and families were. Might be a Sandy/Gresham thing. They tend to attract the more physical players and low IQ. Hate to be harsh but it was very difficult having an intellectual conversation with the families. Definitely not a fit for our family.

Yes, sadly. Really had high hopes for Eastside but realized the club was raising barbarians. Don't get me wrong. There is some exceptional talent there. Good ball handlers and a pretty balanced program for training but, in the end, the players and families were neanderthal. Best way to describe them. Lots of backstabbing amongst players and families. Moral low. Character building not a top priority, thus not developing the "whole" player. Yes, neanderthal is an apt description.

My DD does not play for Eastside but I will stick up for the girls and their parents! These girls are a strong dominant team. Loaded with many talented girls. My DD has played with against this team the last few years. Tough talented team. I have shared the sidelines with this group of parents and found them to be supportive, friendly.
The only low IQ A**Hole here is you and you give all of is "Westside "Teams and parents a bad rep.
Sorry your DD could not keep up with them... I on the other hand like and enjoy a competitive game with the East- you spoon fed, trust find Neanderthal !

I am not with Eastside. But I enjoy watching this skilled athletic team. They play finesse that some of you might not understand. I've found their parents to be a kindly, intelligent good that are exceptionally educated in the beautiful game. They beat my kids team but it is always a great feeling knowing you were soundly whipped by a superior squad who really know their stuff!
