Why would a TA club want to be involved in US Club Soccer; according to all of the TA parents on this forum US Club Soccer sucks.

I don't think anyone has said anything negative about us club soccer. Yes they left the OPL, but that doesn't mean they hate all of us club soccer.

Yeah, that's a good one. How about the "NIT Championship" or the "US Fake Cup" or on and on and on. Let me get this straight. Timbers split the league once again going back to OYSA and then their going to accept and ECNL bid to join a team back up with US Club Soccer. That's going to sit well.

It doesn't matter anyway. ECNL is not going to pick a TA club anyway. TA is stuck with OYSA.

You obviously don't read the posts on this forum.

Probably not to the extent that THUSC has.

THUSC hasn't been considered a Nike Premier until the past couple of years. Club like FC and LO/Crossfire have been Nike Premier clubs for a lot longer.

I would be surprised if Nike started to side with one club over another as they want to keep all the clubs happy and the money rolling in from those relationships. Nike staying neutral would make the most sense.

I think you can look at Crossfire WA to see what an earlier poster was referencing when talking about sponsorship and the need for it when you are an Ecnl club. They have some very lucrative sponsorship deals/relationships that generate a lot of money for the club.

It doesn't matter if it's US Club or USYS....if a club chooses to carry US Club cards, which the club my DD plays for does...then that club can do any US Club Affiliated event...

and besides...there are MLS Affiliated clubs doing ECNL....

I can't wait to see your panties in a wad when ECNL and MLS DA combine....

Yeah right, even taking out the whole equation of USYS/US Club, a TA club will not be on high on the list to make ECNL.

Those MLS affiliated clubs have waaaayyyyyy more success out of their states than any TA club around here, and it's not even a close comparison. Me thinks your mighty TA needs quite a bit more of a track record before you start talking ECNL. So you can keep your panties on for a while and just have fun with your in-state success, what little that is.

Sure on the outside they will seem neutral, of course. But I'm talking about influence on the inside.

Nike used to only have one Nike Premier club per area. Now, they have expanded this. A true reflection of success would have left at least FC PDX off the list.
