Yeah, that's a good one. How about the "NIT Championship" or the "US Fake Cup" or on and on and on. Let me get this straight. Timbers split the league once again going back to OYSA and then their going to accept and ECNL bid to join a team back up with US Club Soccer. That's going to sit well.

THUSC hasn't been considered a Nike Premier until the past couple of years. Club like FC and LO/Crossfire have been Nike Premier clubs for a lot longer.
I would be surprised if Nike started to side with one club over another as they want to keep all the clubs happy and the money rolling in from those relationships. Nike staying neutral would make the most sense.
I think you can look at Crossfire WA to see what an earlier poster was referencing when talking about sponsorship and the need for it when you are an Ecnl club. They have some very lucrative sponsorship deals/relationships that generate a lot of money for the club.
