They don't really retire there - they just never got a job with their crappy generic degree and prefer life on the streets with a hemp necklace and dreads.

That's pretty much what happens when people keep putting you down, saying you are no good, and they couldn't be further from the truth. It only motivates you try harder to succeed, and builds character.

Just because you are not following the same old path everyone else has in the past for your training & development, you are automatically assumed you are a horrible player that won't be around in a few years, a boot baller, have horrible coaches, failing to develop, and so on.

Well there is more than one way to get things done. Yes, Revolution and a few other teams are playing against the odds, and are stepping up to all the negative nellies out there. Three cheers for those that choose not to be followers, have the guts to go a different path and fail to be brain washed into believing there is only one path and you have to start at 7yrs old or you are doomed.

Does it really matter. Some academy teams have kids that have played together since U6, and have been taking academy training since 7yrs old.

Because they're criticizing other for starting "at 7" when they most likely did the same - just a different shirt.

8 year olds played u9 together per previous post so if math is correct in third year playing same group of girls. Do not know of any other clubs that have a U11 team that been together that long playing classic?

Half of the team was part of a 40 girl academy at U9. Officially formed team last year.

Is this the same squad that dropped 25 goals in one game? That is impressive no matter how you slice or dice it!

How funny it is that the 25-0 is still coming up for over two years now.

What about the BU11 Westside Timbers team that pretty much did the same thing to a THUSC team a few months ago In the THUSC United cup? (and a couple other teams were fairly high against THUSC teams also).

I don't see people bringing this up over and over again.

The team played against U10 teams at U9 and at U10 played U11 last year and now playing U11 again. You can look at old tournament schedules on line. Don't know why they would hide it. Maybe something other clubs should consider. Look how much progress has been made.
