They ran an academy for 2 years, where they made nothing and charged minimal to the parents. When you have 80 girls showing up, it seems you can make a good team from that. Free or cheap training for kids, they sound like *******s.

Incorrect again buddy - the Revolution will play:

      Rainier Challenge (Washington Premier FC)
      THUSC United Cup (NWCL/NPL Qualifier)
      Nike Crossfire Challenge (Crossfire Premier)
      Mt. Hood Challenge
      Bend Premier Cup

      All at the top-flight divisions.

Someone said that some level of respect would be shown on this board if they entered these, let alone won any games. Coaches are doing it right and the parents support them. Sounds like it is time to stop trolling this board WT maggots.

I've made comments that the coaches appeared to try to AVOID playing anybody good. If they do, in fact, enroll in those tournaments they get my respect for challenging their girls. And since my daughter will be playing in the two WA tournaments listed, I'll see if I can't catch one of their games.

Hey now. I'm WT and I truthfully would like to see this team do fantastic. Not sure why the hate. Most wa timbers don't have animosity towards Pacific. Good club. Does many things right.

Yes I agree. Most of the trolls that stir the pot are Oregon side... Probably just to mess with you. For me Pacific has put together a solid club, reasonable prices, local to many. As a Wa timbers member, we see quality players come out of Pacific that sometimes boost talent on A teams for our club. In some ways it's a partnership. And I have seen several Pacific teams compete well against the best teams all by themselves. Good people in that club. Good luck to you, I hope you show up those Seattle teams, and Oregon too :).

I don't think it has been the WT parents. There is known animosity from the WT leadership because of the competition in the same area. The comments are coming from a select few who want the players. Plus there is some bad blood between the coaches and WT programs from past experiences.

Please tell me this isn't true....if they are scheduled for more than 40 games than this is a complete failure. Normal standards are three training to one game

Every top team on the west coast plays at least 50 games per year. While the theory is that there should be more practices and less games, NONE of the top clubs and/or coaches subscribe to the theory. In practice, the top teams play lots of games. Do they play lots of games because they are top teams? Or are they top teams because they play lots of games? Or is there no cause/effect at all, simply a close correlation? Put your kid on a team that plays less than 40 games per year and see what happens if you want to test out the theory...

So if that is true - then during league season when there are 1-2 games each and every weekend they should be training 3-6 times a week. Donkey.

Revolution played 44 games last season. 5 summer tournaments, OPL Fall and Spring League, 1 spring tournament. The only difference this season would be NWCL games - IF they qualify.

I agree - complete failure. They must be doing something wrong. The kids are liking it too much.

so six tournaments overall - 30 games
                          OPL Fall - 12 games
                          OPL Spring - 8 games

                          50 games

every game over 35 is wrong

How did the girls feel about crushing a team 25-0, was that super fun for them?

This must be the "haters" unite forum. How many tournaments have 5 games? Most all are 3-4, depending on how you perform...so lets say they average 3.5 taking a few losses into consideration...

                                6 x 3.5 = 21
                                OPL fall = 12
                                OPL Spring = 8

That is 41 games...which according to the other "expert" on here is pretty darn close to 40. Next thing you know they will only play 35 and you will pipe up and say "anything over 30 is wrong".

                                This has almost become comical.
