I am not related to this team but caught some of their practice the other day. They are the real deal. I thought I was watching a U14 team. Skilled passing and disciplined possession like Barcelona or Bayern Munich. I was surprised I've never seen beautiful game played by kids this way.

The parents said they were working on big plans but couldn't comment based on coaches instructions. The said there is a master plan that will be revealed in the appropriate forum most likely a press conference.

They were something special. The parents are pretty crazy but the kids are big time. They've already been written up in the press. One of the dad's said they beat a team 25-0. Wow!

I read about this team in the news. 25-0 is impressive! They are playing in a manner that is possession soccer. High quality. I might have to catch a game.

Perhaps your DD didn't make the team?
If you have issues with coaches/club take it up with them. No need to bash
A team of 9/10 yr old girls.
This is a great team with a really talented group of kids and they have
ruffled feathers which shows me they are doing something right.
To the positive posts on here WELL DONE! You are obviously very mature and knowledgable people.
I'm sure coaches would welcome you to come watch them play anytime.
So please keep your negative comments to yourself because frankly,no one cares what you think anyway!

One thing I can't get is why a team full of 9-10 year olds needs to keep track of all their scores for the year on their own website? How exactly does that help? To me it comes off as all you care about is your results. Instead of putting the results why not put stuff like the girls juggling records on the website, or something that is focused on development.

Yeah that makes sense. They should post personal achievements that individualize accomplishments on a "team website". That makes sense. What's the harm in a "team" keeping track of the "teams" record. They should individualize their development so that you can call them braggers and the next Mia Hamm, and attack little girls personally. The real question is why you are wasting your time viewing some other teams U10 website. Get a life man.

I am not going to quote anyone here; I think everyone can figure out the posts I am talking about. After reading this garbage I am beginning to realize 90% of these posts are from one person. Looking at the grammar and knowing this thread is about U10 girls, combined with the hatred for everything soccer in Vancouver and especially the Timbers. I would bet this is all coming from the same cancer we have on our WT's team. Mom is completely off her rocker, tried starting her own team mid-season and emailed everyone to death until finally WT's DOC got involved. Guess she knew we would not budge or my DD was not good enough for her but several friends of ours were getting 30 plus text message per day and had to put in a special ring tone so they would not accidently answer their phone. I think not being able to do this finally put her over the top looney. She knows she won't be welcome back hence all the bad blood and the suggested move to Portland.

You can do whatever you want, but I recommend that you proud parents settle in and just enjoy your kids. Don't worry about the wins/losses. Focus more on individual skills development. Focus more on spending time with your kid and enjoying the moments. Buy her ice cream on the way home from a game or practice.

Don't get too caught up in result now or what it will mean for the future. I have seen way too many times when the all star young teams fall apart as kids develop physically and mentally, both your kids and the rest of the league.

Just enjoy it.

I took the bait and got all fired up many years ago when my young daughters team won tournament after tournament. It made me feel good. It made me want to brag a little. It made me proud. Just trying to pass on a little experienced based wisdom. Do whatever you want, but hopefully you soak it all up.

No they are staying put. I have heard many different reasons why, including the parents voted on it. But the truth is the Pacific board wasn't going to sign off on the coaches coaching the same age group. As many of you know if you switch clubs and intend on coaching the same age group you need to have your board OK it or else you have to wait a year before coaching that age again. Not sure why they thought to begin with the board would OK taking 1-2 teams worth of kids to your rival was going to work. But o wells.

In the end the top kids who want a bigger club with more advantages will move onto bigger clubs (not just timbers but any big clubs they feel is a good fit) and over the next two years we will see that team decline in level of play till they are similar to the rest of their club. Thats not intended to be an insult towards there club, they are a very solid club for what they offer. They have found a very good niche in vancouver.
