OK, Folks you have kicked the horse enough it is dead…even getting a little moldy…The Timbers ALLIANCE is not one club, it is a group of clubs. These happen to represent all but three of the top clubs from last year, or two years ago, and all of the major boys clubs.
I know the OPL drones have their periodic meetings where they decide "this is the line we will use...use it until everyone believes… we don't want decisions based on reality"
Try to cover the weakness of OPL by these kind of distractions, but the reality is you have Eastside, Westside, Vancouver, Bend, Eugene, Medford, and Salem clubs. These are still independent clubs that have chosen to affiliate through the Timbers alliance.
Come up with a new comment…please. The Travel spector is dead, the one club thing is old and boring. It just makes you look dim if you can't actually bring original thought to what you are saying...

I think if you count up the number of individual clubs in each league you'll find that OPL still has more clubs.

Did you see the schedules??? I was expecting a little more than that from all of the TA/OYSA talk. Those schedules look awful.

How about an Eastside Super U-18 team of a combined group of U18-15s to fill the roster on the girls side If that's not weak it sure is funny

I have said all along the winter schedules for U15-U18 will look horrible, and with splitting them both leagues will look horrible. Which they do. (well to be fair I haven't seen any of the OPL stuff yet, I dont see it on their website yet)
However, It will be interesting to see what happens at the younger age groups. That is where I think you will see much more/better diversity in OYSA. But to be honest I'm not putting much stock in any winter/spring league. I'm waiting to see what happens next fall. Thats when your going to really see the results of this split. Spring means pretty much nothing to most clubs/coaches except to prep them for state cup or tryouts.

Well, in the mean time you should quit all of your petty talk, so far OYSA is not impressive at all.

Im not saying much of anything. This whole thing ticks me off. Both sides are in the wrong, and both leagues are suffering for it. Just looking at whats going on though I think OYSA will dominate the younger age groups as far as more competitive leagues, and I only care about those age groups since thats where my kids play.

I see OYSA was pretty PC about setting up travel in the first two weeks. None of the top teams in the girls divisions have to really go anywhere. We will see what happens after the next set of schedules come out. All the out of town teams are accounted for in the premier division (some that have never been there before).

not sure if they did this for all divisions, but I know in our age group (younger age) they put something in there that said if you had to travel for up to 2 away games would you want to do them in one weekend or split them up. They also said that doesn't mean you will have 2 travel games, but if you did. So it sounded like the max we would have would be 2.
