ODP Regional Championships

On the girls side, 3-4 years ago the 2014 class beat SoCal I believe two years in a row and lost on pk's one of those years to NoCal in the championship. The 2013 class similarly did very well. After OPL came on board, most of those girls (not all) slowly faded from the team. I believe the majority of the girls on that team (now the 2014 class) will be playing D1 next year - Arizona State, Loyola, Oregon, Oregon State, Columbia, FL. State, USC, Boise State, PSU, Portland, Marquette, Idaho, N.AZ. And those are only the ones I know of. After that class, more and more girls have faded from doing ODP. You can't lose that type of quality and expect a winning program. If OYSA/OPC can patch up and ODP gets full involvement again (a long shot, I know, especially when you throw in ECNL), the teams will do fine. Until then, Oregon is not deep enough to compete against SoCal. That shouldn't be a reflection on the quality of the players the state puts out.

I agree. My DD was one of the 2014s and they had some great years. Oregon competes very well when they are able to pool the majority of the top talent.

That is not an Onyx parent that you are replying to, rather someone who is so jealous, spiteful and bitter at a very young group of girls they constantly try to make fun of them. It is beginning to remind me of the Texas cheerleader mom scandal which ended in murder. Hopefully this individual will seek out some help and get a life.

? I wasnt slamming Onyx. I was taking a little stab at ODP. I have always been a fan of onyx and supported them. I think the posts on here are ridiculous. But I have to say you come off as super arrogant in this post

I am glad you are a fan of our team. How else would a rational thinker form an opinion about us. You are very smart. I am glad that you agreed we should not play with the rest of the state. By keeping our play local, we do not have to worry about soccer in Oregon. After all, we must keep the girls focused on how good they are and away from the desserts.

I agree there exists a fine line between stating reality and being arrogant. I think it is always safer to be cautiously arrogant so as not to undermine any doubt as to how good we are and how well we are coached. It also makes it easier, when claiming to be the best team ever from Oregon, that we ignore that the boys have produced national title winners. There just boys and, at Thusc, we focus only upon girls. Our boys would be girls if they could.

I would also like to tell the other stalkers that Onyx's parents are tired of the attacks. Live with our greatness. It is not our problem. Capiche.
