Posting questions like that on the eve of deadlines looks more like advocacy and less like an intellectual inquiry, particularly when you are sending the questions only one way. . . . I get you want a unified league (a couple of months ago I thought it was nuts that the classic clubs had divided themselves this way), but let the process run its course.

I have no insight as to who is willing to compromise and who wasn't. Just tired of the non-stop disparagement.

You make a lot of assumptions and generalizations regarding FA players, their families and the "we all know of many who feel that because they are "disadvantaged" in some way, that the rest should pay their way." So much bitterness and anger in your comments.

A lot of the clubs offer ways or families to pay for benefits. I've yet to see a player get full financial assistance for all of their club fees, team fees, and uniforms. I've been involved in club soccer in this state for fifteen years (FC, WS, PCU, LO, TTS). None of them gave full "scholarships" or FA.

If you personally know someone who has not paid a penny for any of their club experience, then I have a feeling that you are more likely to be basing your judgement on what is owed a team by a player. I wonder then, who on your team, made the decision to fund this player? Who all allowed it to happen and for how long?

I think its a very fair question. If you look at when I posed it, the question was in response to someone saying that the OPL isn't going anywhere. So in that context its a very valid question. if its not going anywhere, how will they form a competitive league with only those teams as listed.

Continuously asking "how are you going survive" is a technique used to attack teams, clubs, and leagues. It is of the same cloth as a number of threads on this forum over the last couple of months.

I get you want the OPL to go away - you may or may not get your wish; some of the techniques used here though damage the soccer culture here long-term regardless of which side of this you want to "win".

Just caught wind of what our U15 OPL team is doing for league play and our level of competition will be better than last year.

Please tell us what message you got from the wind and explain how it will be better.
