And don't forget about the all important boys side of things. TA teams & those supporting OYSA clearly have the edge on the boys' side across age groups. This is precisely why the remaining OPL clubs will fade unless they join OYSA.

Here is my take on all of this.
The OPL has done nothing to promote the game outside their lil service area (and Im giving them very lil credit for NWCL). They have done nothing to foster the game at the grass roots level, nor provide anything ever for the top level player.
OYSA/Timbers does everything that could be expected of a full service organization. They run/manage leagues, they host nation rec tourneys, they provide coach training and licensing, they offer elite level of play thru ODP/DA, they provide club registrar training and support, they are the states gateway to FWRL and USYSA National Championship, Top Soccer, Referee training (they host the trainings) & Field development.
If a clubs costs are the same and both organizations were operated in an un-biased manner, what does the OPL bring to the table that you cant get at OYSA ??

If you are pumping or disparaging any of the above and are compensated by a competitor, you should consider your disclosure obligations. If you have any questions about that, go ask your company's lawyer.Last edited by Slow Xavi; 11-20-2013, 04:31 PM.

I dont need to seek advice from any council to voice my opinion here. Maybe you should and provide some sort of up front disclosure each and every time you start to type a response here. Then at least we can all see which side of the street your standing on today and which direction your heading.

What part of "bigger" don't you get?? I was just pointing out that this very well be a trend and that OYSA may lose some talent to OPL.

How are the clubs with significant boys programs going to be able to attract and maintain their player counts without providing competitive league play?
Can FCP afford to lose 1/2 of their boys to TA clubs? What about OR Crossfire and BSC?
When...yes not if but WHEN they do will what will the club look like and will they be able to afford the quality of coaching that got them to the level that they are NOW?
If your club is going to be 1/3rd smaller can you support the Girls programs with quality coaching?
EVERY OPL Board needs to be asking themselves these questions and their members deserve to know what "the plan" is to deal with these changes.
Bottom line is that the TA defection back to OYSA has done to the OPL what the formation of the OPL did to OYSA 5 years ago.
Every OPL who ignores this REALITY does so at their own peril!

Besides THUSC is not the club that should be worrying about the drain of boys to the OYSA clubs.

You are a first class Smart ass

Your patented assumptions about my player are irrelevant and the fact that you made them reflects your limited cognitive abilities to process complex concepts and project probable outcomes....you are obviously a Fox News Junkie!

Being WRONG is your strong suit!

Yes it is pure conjecture about the defection of the boys to the OYSA aligned clubs. guilty as charged. However if I had a top level boy I would not stick around and pay the money to play in a substandard boys league.
