I don't know if that means NEU is joining OYSA's classic league, but maybe the poster above has more info.

New Record for being wrong in one post
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostWow, you have problems. I am guessing that you live in Medford, Eugene, or Bend. First off, get over yourself. I understand that you were all upset when the majority of the talent in the State (Portland/Metor) decided that they really didn't want to pay for the gas to drive all the way down to your one pony town and woop on your kids team. That reality isn't going to go away. You may enjoy one season, but after that it's all over for you and your precious TA. You will be a Rec + league in short notice. It doesn't matter that you have more teams in your league, especially when the realization comes to your neck of the woods that you don't have the talent. Your posts suggest that you are pretty new to this club soccer thing. I don't knock you for trying, but please quit with the "Your clubs need to figure it now" crying. We don't need to do anything to appease you. Your talent is low, and it will always be. Portland/Metro is where the talent is and it's not going anywhere. You can do your stupid list of how many teams are going to be on your side but in the end its still a bunch of stick woods teams spread all over the place and no one wants to spend the gas money to go all the way down to your hick woods town and woop on your kids team. Have fun in the short run but in the long run you will be in a rec plus league.
Since you can't read the posts above I will summarize the quality issue posted above. The majority of top teams in the younger ages are going to be in the OYSA. The older kids are going to be evenly split on the girls side but on the boys side more are going to be in the OYSA. TWO more wrong claims.
Lastly your claim that in a few years things are going to be bad for OYSA when you are ignoring that in a few years the better girl teams in the OPL will have aged out is AGAIN more proof you are living in a fantasy world.
So to summarize not a single claim you made in the post above is correct or can be supported by EVIDENCE. But hey keep smoking the OPC crack...

Why does this person go from thread to thread and put down the outside of metro people and TA clubx? I wish you would attempt to add value to a thread versus just put people down. I am pretty new to this club soccer (before you can put me down for that) thing but I can also weed through the facts pretty quickly and make a decision that I feel is best for my kids. Yes, my kid plays for a TA team. We don't play there because of it being part of the TA but started there last year out of convenience and it being reasonably priced (versus a couple of other non TA clubs I looked at). He is an average Premier player playing on a solid team currently. Thankfully, our talent isn't as low as you would like to believe and I feel he is getting the challenge he needs to become a better player...in practice and in games. I don't care if he plays NP or not and am only concerned that he has an opportunity to grow as a player. So far, our program is offering that and hope it continues to in the future (go ahead and reply back that it won't).
Not sure what you and others are trying to accomplish by either putting down TA programs or non Portland programs but all it does is expose insecurities as well as help others confirm why they are choosing where they want their children to play (TA or non TA). Looking at the clubs already committed moving over to OYSA I am comfortable with the level of competition my kid will see in spring and moving forward. I can say that without putting others down along the way and hope you can find a way to do the same. Good luck in future seasons - maybe we will see you again in the coming years.

Tell me why top boys would want to play for OPL clubs?

[QUOTE=Unregistered;1147021]OYSA teams will not have to travel as far to quality competition so I'm not sure what you mean when you say economics will win out.
Is OYSA going to split their league? Eugene, Medford, Bend, etc. are they going to be in their own league or the TA just won't travel there?

My kid will play in the OPL where her team plays. I do not see any reason for panic as the league games are just not that important to us. Hopefully our coach has bigger fish to fry. I do not bad mouth either side. I just do not care that much. However, the irony of this post is, did you see the name of this thread? The venom towards the clubs sticking with the OPL has been far worse than what the TA has taken on this forum. IN fact, I would go so far as to say that there are people assigned to do this stuff as there is so much of it. Including the name of this thread, which is designed to scare people and make them think their clubs are going under. Is that ethical? They were all friends when they ALL originally moved from OYSA.
