Yea it's a bit ridiculous. There's two Onyx girls on the team. I believe there's more Iridium, Mercury and Sodium girls on the team.

HRV played a short handed WHS side

5A HRV 3-0 over Summit (HRV beat 3 time champs at Woodburn to get there)

            Girls

6A Tualatin 1-0 over Sunset (should be a tight hard fought game)
5A Summit 2-0 over Wilson (good fortune runs out)
Understand that Woodburn went into the playoffs without the 2012 HS player of the year available. He was injured and is a senior this year.

Props to HRV for winning. Playing Summit on the artificial Turf gives Summit a HUGE advantage.

Why do you think it will give Summit an advantage? Playing at Summit gives them a huge advantage, but it's not because of turf. Most teams and players have lots of experience on turf. HRV should be fine. Last year's POY must have been hurt a lot because he was only 2nd team in their league. He's a good player.

I am wondering why you would say negative things about him. I am tired of the racism that is unchecked. He chose not to play the academy. Get over it.

of why Summit has the advantage when playing on a turf field. HRV plays nearly all it's games on Grass fields. Summit plays nearly all it's matches on Turf. HRV's win at Woodburn was an minor upset. Woodburn missing the 2012 5A player of the year gave HRV a good chance. Summit's core is made up of year round soccer players who have been relevant in the club state cup for years.

                  Congrats to Summit.

It's a little unusual when a player goes from being the state player of the year to second team in his league. Being hurt (ie missing games) seemed a reasonable explanation. Hard to see anything negative there and the racism and academy comments are baffling.
