The OPL has no leadership or vision and most importantly no oversight (I'm not implying the OYSA does either).
Here it is, so you can get a clear picture of what has happened to the competitive youth soccer playing experience in Oregon.
Imagine if the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, SF 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons and Kansas City Chiefs Head coaches took over the running of the entire NFL while at the same time they are tasked with running the day to day management of their individual teams. All the while they get a wink and a nod from their owners and their board of Directors who give them no oversight or direction. Most of all no accountability for their decisions at a league level. This OPL structure has no checks and balances, just the freedom to do what they think is in their best interest at any given moment. For instance schedule manipulation, team placement manipulation, player ID etc...
That's what you have chosen as the youth competitive soccer experience for nearly 5 years.
Really?
When another product (OYSA) wants a piece of this insane action as the (Timbers) consider this business to be a lucrative (revenue producing) one. They come in with the knowledge that the youth soccer masses allow collusion and monopolistic practices without any push back. As they have observed it's OK by these folks if the inmates to run the asylum or in this case the foxes run the hen house.
The OYSA/Timbers newly developed structure is flawed & disingenuous as well, but they know you don't care & more importantly they know you have no say in the matter.
Or at least that's what you have demonstrated to date.
Right?
