Any ideas on why the abrupt departure of Rilatt from Eastside?

      Subject: Press Release
The Eastside Timbers Executive Board of Directors is sad to announce the departure of Jim Rilatt as Eastside’s Director of Coaching. We have been fortunate to have Jim as part of the club for the past four plus years and we celebrate and thank him for his dedication and accomplishments.

It is with our warmest wishes for his future success that we accept this decision. The Board is grateful to Jim for his investment of time, talent, passion and wisdom to the club during his tenure. He is an ambassador for the sport and we appreciate Jim's involvement in building a quality, premier youth soccer program in the Portland Metro East County area. We ask all members to join with us in thanking Jim for his years of service to the club.

Over the next few weeks, we will be evaluating options on how to best fill this role, focusing on our core mission to provide excellence through soccer to our players, parents, coaches and community each and every season.

Sounds like another move for Jim-Probably more $ incentive and opportunity for him elsewhere. He's worked with quite a few clubs over the years and with the Timbers as a player and on coaching staff, so no surprise if he has accepted a new position.

1 down, many to go. J.R. is knowledgeable but a first class butt. Not sorry to see him go. I hope our board see's this as the first step to cleaning out the house. Not much motivation passed on by the long term coaching staff. No tears here.

Everything I ever heard about this guy has been positive. It is a loss for the club.

                        4 strikes your out.

Since 2006 I've heard this guy has been fired no less than 4x at 4 different clubs.

FC PDX, LOSC, WUSC & ESUFC.

No matter what I've heard this doesn't look good.

Im going to guess there is 1 of 2 things happening with this move:

                            1) Jim is getting a full-time spot with OYSA to head up this new Timbers/OYSA gig.

                            or

                            2) Jim has got picked up for a job with a USL or NASL club.

Neither 1 or 2 has happened.

                              Only choice #3 took place.

                              3) Abruptly terminated at Eastside United Soccer Club.

Nice try and wishful thinking. Deal
