    Nice try, forum troll.

My son did play all of those sports, and so did my daughter, as all of those sports and soccer, require balls.

f I was talking tough then I would have pointed to wrestling or MMA.

I never thought baseball was a tough man sport. There are still plenty of people that play baseball and watch baseball. The problem is the issues with PED that is bringing down the sport. Concussions may be what brings down football.

I was talking about sports that most of our male athletes are playing these days in HS.
No most male athletes in football and baseball are standing/sitting on the sidelines. Most of those players are also not playing continuously on the field, and certainly football requires a whole lot of protective gear.

My son successfully played Pop Warner football, decided that he enjoyed soccer more, and was constantly hounded by the football coaching staff at his high school to switch from soccer/track to football/lacrosse. I didn't care either way as football and soccer are my favorite sports.

Playing soccer helped him earn his D1 starter position at Santa Cruz so it turned out just fine for him.

. . . and your point is what exactly? Nobody was talking about how much players got paid. Baseball players make more than football players too but college football and the NFL are moving forward and baseball is slowly dying on the vine. Soccer has a long way to go but at least it's moving in the right direction.

For what it's worth, of the 20 most valuable professional sports franchises most are soccer teams and NFL teams. For baseball, there's the Yankees and the Dodgers -- that's it. There are no NBA teams in the top 25. There are no MLS teams either, but the league is only 15 years old.

I see baseball like golf - more of a skill then a sport.

Re PED use. If you believe that soccer at the highest level does not have PED's, i have a bridge to sell you. Soccer is an endurance sport and it is proven PED's help. It is only a matter of time.

Do kids in America still play baseball?
