I am assuming this is correct also, it would seem it is all about the money. The Timbers are looking at this as a revenue stream and are willing to split the leagues up in order to make some money. If they are really interested in developing players and moving soccer forward in the state they would support the OPL or whatever organization was running the leagues and not try to splinter things up yet again.

If the Timbers really cared they would work with OYSA and OPL to reunify Oregon soccer. The Timbers have or had enough credibility to bring the OPL guys back to the table.

Problem is they lose the credibility when they are the ones wanting to run and profit from running OYSA.
