Enough already it's just HS soccer... I'd like to wish all of the girls playing tonight the best of luck. Have fun playing with your classmates, wearing your school colors and repping your school, thats what HS soccer is about. In a few short weeks most of us can get back to good soccer, Can't wait!!!!

(Review) Jesuit 1 Clackamas 0.
Credit to Clackamas High for a well thought out game plan that almost got them into the next round. Many times they put 8-9 players back behind the ball and were content to try and weather the storm. They almost got one in the last couple of minutes but a huge save by the Jesuit goalie turned them away.
Not impressive- the refereeing. Many whistles which both teams assumed the ball was theirs (and were then confused when it went the other way). In one instance a Jesuit player was badly undercut and fell head first to the turf- it was only the frantic signalling by the AR that even stopped play.
Jesuit with many more opportunities but found a way to get the one that counts. Strong defending by the two center defenders down the stretch preserved the win.Comment

Why does that seem to be the recurring theme through the playoffs? I was at the Gresham v Sunset game and the officiating was horrible as well. One would think that since this was the playoffs that they would put the most experienced officials on the field. Apparently that's not the case.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

The lack of quality soccer didn't help. The ref called fouls when there were fouls. Sunset was clearly the better team all night but Sunset started the physical play. The foul that led to the ambulance is what started it all off.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

Barlow Lincoln game was stopped for 30 min for an injured defender. Ambulance called to the field, broken femur, will need surgery. Prayers to her and her family!Comment
