A couple of the players on the team have already achieved greater success then the coach ever did.

Jesuit has a very strong defensive line. I believe they are all seniors. Not sure Tualatin can match it yet.

Who cares? Club players aren't learning anything from their high school coaches anyway.

West Linn sends their thanks to the Tualatin AD

As a West Linn supporter we want to send our sincerest thanks to the Tualatin AD for NOT hiring your JV coach. We could never have expected to get a person with her experience (NCAA Champ, professional on two continents) to come to our side of I-5. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Tualatin has turned into the biggest joke on the block. One of the most successful programs in the last 10 years now has there JV coach running the varsity program with zero knowledge of the game whatsoever and the JV coach was last years JV2/freshman coach. With two guys that have no clue how to run a program are in charge of one of the most talented!

I am not familiar with who was on the team the last couple years only having watched them twice before, but the team I watched last night was no were near the team i watched the last two times. Not trying to knock any individuals, but their keeper was very slow and unresponsive. The forwards lacked imagination and couldn't finish. If these are the same girls and the coaching change has caused them to fall this far back, I really feel for them, especially the seniors.

Tigard probably can't wait to play them. Could get ugly on the field since they are rivals.

From top to bottom (Varisty to JV2), all the coaches have never coached anything outside of TuHS soccer.

At this point I would put money on Tigard! Tualatin also has bigger problems than there coach there defense has allowed 9 goals in the last 3 games against good comp. This team has a lot to work out before they are going to fight for a state title. Otherwise I see a very very early exit from state.

Plus they have given up more goals in the last 3 games than they do the last 2 years!!!!

I was at the game and Tualatin dominated the first 15-20 minutes, but couldn't convert. Jesuit was flat until they scored their first...one JHS player surrounded by several defenders finishes. THS is good, but their D-line must be more vocal and aggressive (as well as the keep). The whole dynamics changed after the score and JHS came to life, while THS seemed to hang their head a little.

Some TuHS parents are already lamenting that it's going to be a long season.

Well ya gotta know, it has to be the fault of those WST Copa girls.

Easy now! I was at the game last night and I don't think it is time for the TUHS parents and players to hang their heads just yet. The season is still young and I think that TUHS will pull it toether in time for play-offs. They have the pieces on the field and they have some senior leadership that needs to step it up here soon. There is plenty of speed and talent on the defense, but they were not working together. Yes, I know that much of this is a coaching issue, but in the absence of a strong coach, the stronger junior and senior leaders on the team need to step it up and start leading.

I would be very surprised if Tigard beat TUHS.

What about goals. They are not scoring against quality teams. Sprague does not count. Giving up goals and not scoring goals is a recipe for disaster against good teams. After the first round of the playoffs they will start facing decent opponents.

They have talented scorers. They had 12 shots on goal vs. Jesuit, but they were not very creative and the Jesuit goalie handled them easily. Over the next few weeks, most goal scorers on all teams will be taking better shots, TUHS included.
