Maybe you 5 people should just conference call each other and talk about what 16 year old high school girls teams is going to place where.

Everyone has to have something in their life I suppose.

Then why are you even reading and writing on a blog about high school soccer??? If you don't care, then don't open and read about it. Whether its five or a hundred and five, it's clear there are some people who want to talk about it and this is the place they can do it. Get over yourself and stop reading and responding about things you don't care about!!

Says the guy who takes the time to read and post on this forum. New flash D-Bag!!!! I care about High School soccer. Why? Because my daughter cares and I care about the things she cares about. My daughter also cares about the D1 school she has committed to. My daughter also cares about her grades, her family, her friends, and...............so do I. I guesss we both have "something in our lives".

My daughter is a Senior this year and HS soccer has been one of the best experiences of her soccer life. Perhaps your daughter has not had the same experiences at her highschool, but who the hell are you to fault somebody else who has had a different, obviously more fulfilling experience.

Perhaps it is you that needs "something" else in your life Mr. Negative.

With your record this year I'll take all of your "projected" losers in a parlay!

On a serious note, Clackamas will win because SRHS #1 goalie is out!

I know, horrific record thus far.

What happened to the SRHS goalie? Is she OK? I enjoy HS soccer probably more than club to be honest and I know there are going to be a bunch of haters piping in but who cares. The night games, the fans, the school spirit and the rivalries are all great fun for the players and fans. But I will say, if there was one thing that concerns me it's the amount of injuries. Again, all the haters will jump in and point to the mix of players skill levels etc. I know I know. But still, you get exposed to injuries in any practice, walking down the stairs, driving a car. And it's also about proper player preparation. If they are weight training and doing crossfit (or something similar), then the potential for injury is reduced across the board. IMHO of course.

I too like HS soccer for many of the reasons you list. However, I do get frustrated at my daughters games. Seeing simple passes that are just hammered so that the player can't control them, or players having first touches that bounce three feet away, the defenders just clearing the ball out of bounds when they have virtually no pressure from the offense, players running into the space of their teammate who has the ball, .... Seeing simple, basic fundamental skills getting mis-executed can cause me to just stand up and walk away and shake my head. In spite of that, however, I still do enjoy the games.

Yes, I agree. We are fortunate to not only have had a big influx of club players over the last 3 years but a club coach too. But I do agree that with the short period of time these girls have had to prepare it can get hard to watch. You mentioned the defenders kicking the ball out of bounds; we have one outside defender from one club, the other outside defender from another club. One on the right will clear the ball out of bounds if she feels even the slightest pressure. The one on the left will challenge the forward and take the ball up the pitch (either inside or outside) and look to create an opportunity. Totally different coaching philosophies from totally different club teams. I guess that's why we play the games. :)

In my opinion, more about the skill level of the player than coaching philosophy.

I disagree. They both are very skilled and play for top clubs. I would argue it is solely based on coaching philosophy.
