Since you know the "slimy" recruiting practices maybe you can enlighten us on the details of the last two players to come over to Onyx. Give us a play by play on how they ended up with this team. Like who contacted them, where were they contacted? We're there any promises made? How does this whole recruiting thing happen in your eyes?

I could care less how they ended up there. Feel free to offer you own blow by blow and see if anybody else cares.

Listing Crossfire as 2nd invalidates many of the other good points made.

It will be a long 4 months, but then the Crossfire parent will realize that changing the name and colors while combining a decent team with a mediocre team will result in not much.

Funny how nobody is even considering Eastside that made the greatest gains this last season and was actually playing some soccer.

I am a Fc parent and I am confused by this post. Didnt the Stealth go to the State cup final? I may be wrong? But it seems to me that Crossfire and FC had the most togain.

In fairness, I did see some decent improvement by Eastside, but it will be short lived in my opinion. It just won't stick. As far as FC being second, I think that's delusional.

There is no point in even responding to these fools. All kids will want to play for the the best. That is Onyx without question.

People hate Tom because they can't beat him. Anyone with half a brain knows he is a very good coach.

Thanks Crossfire parent. Sorry to say but Rosie isn't the best coach. Stealth had one decent year but that's it and it wasn't by playing pretty soccer. You can bash the THUSC coaching all you want but Tom is the reason they play a nice possession game. Same with Sodium, Neon, Gallium, and soon to be Zirconium and Silver.

I do think that Crossfire will be the second best team followed by either FC or Eastside. T/S will fall off now that they have to merge with Copa. Vancouver is an up and coming team so they might surprise some. Gallium also picked up some quality players who will be very helpful.

Well then, if it wasn't pretty soccer and excellent coaching, how would you explain a team that was at the bottom of premier and relegated to second division two years ago ending up in the state cup final. Luck?

If you think they don't then you've never been outside of Oregon. Onyx plays a very pretty style of soccer most of the time. The only other team that even attempted to play possession was FC.

They don't play possession soccer by Oregon standards, California standards, or Rhode Island standards. An then when you added FC to the mix, I kind of chuckled a little.
