Yeah, especially my DK's team! Better to struggle and grow than dominate and stagnate, though.

Depends on the definition of "struggle". A team needs to be put into a situation where they can be stretched, not dominated. If you are playing teams that are significantly better than you, your team can't actually work on items to make them improve. They will resort to tactics to try and avoid getting blown-out, rather than playing soccer which their technical ability won't allow them to do while playing teams significantly better than them.

Exactly, climb the ladder 1 rung at a time.

Yes. And by the time your team is U16 they might be mediocre.

That's the story for the vast majority of teams.

                No Idaho Teams in GU-14

How will the Oregon teams beat anybody now?

The problem here is that Sunny would rather put a team in a tournament that they have no business being in just so he can say they are in the tournament. It isn't right to put this team against the teams that they will play to get completely demolished. They won't be able to work on anything; they are going to just hope to keep the score respectible and to do so will have to resort to some form of "send-it soccer".

If Sunny was really looking after the well-being of this team and it's players, he would have not signed them up for NWCL and given that spot to a more competitive team. He would ensure that they went into another tournament to work on items that they need to work on and develop in areas that will serve the team better than developing their chasing ability. The parents of this team should be angry at Sunny that he is putting them into this situation where they are going to clearly not have a lick of fun.

By the way, this clearly shows that Sunny is also planning on at least trying to keep them in OPL premier. Another disservice to the girls so he can put on his resume that he had two teams in OPL premier, deserving or not.

But, it is hard to make clear and informed decisions after 6 pints at Auto's Pub...

All of them, on the girls side anyway.

Along with all the Pdx teams just like last yr. It will just be another reminder that Seattle youth soccer is superior to the Pdx metro area

                          Yeah... about that...
Let's not count on that being the case this year.
Bring your Starbucks to the games and see what I mean.

Oh wait I forgot ***C G99 reds actually won NWCL. A lot better than any single pdx team.
