not tell me that this is a Premier Tournament (seems to me that it is the same usual suspects)
When you have a U14 team winning U15 then it is not a top tournament. I think people are saying that Oregon has no top tournaments because teams from outside of Oregon are not attending. If some top WA or NorCal teams attended you'd have much different results and the U14 team would not feel the need to play up.

Second tier to the other local tourneys. Fourth tier when compared to other tourneys on the west coast.

So in the GU16, was OSSA White II not allowed to join the new crossfire organization? The other two OSSA teams are now called Crossfire. Maybe they have to earn their way in.

I don't think the managers know about the new club name. All are Crossfire Oregon. Some say that while others say OSSA and others say Crossfire LOSC. They need time to get on the same page with the new club name.

That's funny. You would think that the club would send out an email to all managers. Maybe they did and some of the managers are just not very good.

Clubs with weak leadership struggle with this kind of thing all the time. Look at Washington Timbers. The managers were told not to use the abbreviation ***C (for somewhat obvious reasons), but some still did. You will also find tournaments where teams have been entered as Vancouver Timbers or VUSA Timbers. I don't know of any that are still using Columbia Premier but it wouldn't surprise me to see one. There is still a CPSC sign hanging in the Salmon Creek Indoor Soccer center...

I think its more of a matter of a larger club rather than how its ran. Some of those coaches may have missed meetings which isn't the clubs fault. Plus some of those teams may have registered for the tournament before finding out which way the club wanted it to be presented. There are lots of what ifs. To define a clubs leadership based on what name is used in tournaments is silly to me.

Just one example... There are many more that point towards weak leadership.

I thought this was about the coaching change at Tualatin.

***C could be construed as a pejorative...it remains quite accurate most of the time

And yet they still are one of the of the top 2 or 3 clubs in all of Oregon and SW Wa. Go figure.

That's like being saying you are one of the tallest midgets.

                                Tryouts are in August

The transition becomes totally official in August, when the U15's and up have tryouts. At that time, the uniforms, etc. will be rolled out and it all will be complete and finalized. Until then, the clubs are still in OSSA or one of the joining club uniforms, so you can see where some clarification to the name (still using OSSA) would need to happen.
