ECNL has changed their mindset and are allowing clubs to for alliances to create top tier teams
ECNL and the MLS DA Program are combining ideas and will help create the same for the girls side....I've heard that GW'a goal is a women's DA Program and that the PTFC Alliance will have women's teams in the newly formed ECNL/MLS League....starting in 2014 when league begins

Timbers or Thorns name I could see getting an encl bid, but chances the Alliance gets one in addition is slim.

Do people think that Portland could put out 2 competitive teams in ecnl? Seeing the results of the boys DA with 1 team leads me to think 1 is the best option. It makes sense to have 2 here, but wouldn't they just be 2 average teams?

This FC Nova / 3 Rivers combo begs the question if Crossfire Oregon will be able to enter teams into the ECNL using their new relationship with Crossfire Premier?
At this point it only looks like a player grab from the evil empire to the north.

An interesting rumor, note: RUMOR, is that Onyx (as a team) has approached Crossfire about bringing the entire team over and operating out of Crossfire Oregon. Wonder if TA is involved and if this indicates any discussions between THUSC and CrossOR or is this just a team thing?

ECNL is for club and not individual teams. I am an Onyx parent and that would be awesome, but I am a realist and know ECNL would never consider. Gotta love the rumor mill
