Call it what you like but I'm ok with the cost. For the boys, local, and $550 gets you 6 nights, room and board... and a camp with top coaches, top players, and potential opportunity. Works for me.

Yay, $550 is very cheap. If you compare to other camps like up in Seattle you will see.

Here's a Sounders camp that is 4 1/2 days, $680... no room and board. And oh boy, you get to train with 90 players, ages 5-14. That's going to make you better... NOT. I'm thinking $550 for 6 nights, 7 days, room and board, training with elite coaches and players is sounding like a pretty good deal.

Why, those that were selected were notified, those that were not also know who is going. If you don't know, then you don't need to know....it helps prevent those of you that want to bash the process.

They posted the Regional Camp rosters for the girls. They post the State pools.... they post RTC rosters... they post Academy team rosters... they post regional championship rosters... they post everything. Why have they not posted the Regional Camp rosters for boys? So you 'applaud' not posting the list for boys Regional Camp... so you must completely disapprove that the Timbers post the rosters for everything else. Sorry to be insensitive but that's just stupid. Post the rosters already. It makes sense for a couple reasons. 1) it's recognition to the boys that earned it, 2) it's consistent.

Did you get an email inviting your kid? If not, then don't worry about it. Too many busy bodies around here who have to have their noses into everything. All you need to worry about is if your kid made it. If you didn't get an email, then he didn't make it. Go spend that money on something else.
