98 Girls:

(Onyx played 2 games in this bracket and won both games)

Good game

The onyx/crossfire game was exciting to watch. 2 very high quality teams. I would bet that in 10 games they would split 5/5. Lets hope there is another match up in the NWCL this year.

Crossfire has not beat Onyx for a couple years. Plus Onyx was missing a couple players and also rested starter the whole first half of this game. I don't think 5/5 would be the results but Crossfire has improved.

Is it true that Onyx had the best 4 game series of the tournament on the girls' side?

I heard they had 3 wins & 1 tie.... 3-1 Fri, 3-0 Sat, 1-1 (both goals on PK's) and 2-1 against Crossfire for their second game today.

I watched the game. Talked to parents of both teams and crossfire was missing 2 starters also and thier girls for the most part have not even played together for a year. The game could have gone either way. Just leave it at they are pretty equal teams and are both very talented. I agree fun game to watch. I also agree with previous poster that they would split games. Crossfire did have several more shots on goal. Onyx made there shots count. Lets also remember the winning goal came with like 2 mins left. Good luck to both teams

What does it matter if a goal is scored in the first 2 minutes or the last 2 minutes? I would agree that they are pretty evenly matched teams and would love to see the game with Onyx's full squad

You're right that final match scores have nothing to do with the timing of goals.

But, as in other sports, good teams know how to finish strong while utilizing clock management to their advantage.

I would have to agree with that assessment, not many highlights.
