I think you have your % flipped. It's about 25% homegrown players for FCP by U17.

I bet your name on here that Fc Portland ends up dropping more than 70% of their players for developed kids from other clubs. This might sound new to you but since Clive has left, their model, coaching, and development has all been awful. They nearly went bankrupt until they got into the ecnl league which is now becoming worthless with the top clubs pulling out.

Fc will do anything to recruit your kid and there are more players who went, and found out they were snake oil salesmen than kids who were developed from the start. That says something.

True that. After a few beers, coaches have told me that if your dk is good enough,
ECNL will take them, no matter what club they are from. Look at some rosters in the
"A" team vs ECNL in the same age group. You will see former ECNL players who were pushed out by better players, mostly from outside the club, to join the "A" team.
By then, too late to do anything about it. kind of messed up.
