My dd did it from U14-U16 and in those years, she played in some great regional tournament games against some great players. She will always remember the game against NorCal which had the sidelines filled with the players from other ODP teams where the Oregon players were screaming for Oregon and Norcal for Norcal. She now sees many players from ODP going to various colleges and has them on her Instagram feed. Top players were doing it then and should be doing it now. If you are playing ECNL, then I might not do it, but ODP was terrific for her and helped supplement her training. She learned a lot during it and loved playing with players from other teams.

ODP has been a great experience. $400 or so and you get lots of extra training with different coaches and different players. Developed a lot of great relationships.
On the girls side.

ODP is a fantastic experience in general. The girls who have done it at older ages are noticeably better.
