You do realize that a lot of these are U13 girls.

The ol' RAE at work there. The older & more experienced (they have an entire extra year of soccer) u13s born in 2003 have a huge advantage over the younger 2003s who play u12. U.S. Soccer wants to only pick the oldest/biggest ones to take the most advantage of RAE. Don't worry though, the fall 2003s graduate HS the year after the older 2003s so they won't have to compete with them for college spots like they do for ODP spots.

So true as we all know most college recruiters flock to HS games. Club teams are going birth year also.

ODP vs elite league friendly will draw a lot of attention!!!

Encl teams will never do it. They spend too much on marketing to ever risk it.

No but they will now be evaluating the fall birth year players vs their graduation year counterparts who are playing on the year younger birth year team. Universities are still on "academic years" and will still recruit by graduation year class not birth year.

Teams playing in elite club league wouldn't risk it. Too many invested in marketing.

Didn't FCP pre-ecnl just win fall OYSA league? You just played their ECNL core this fall. Then add players from other clubs. Whats ODP going to do? Have a couple of practices and Janine will sprinkle a little fairy dust and ODP will be awesome?

Attention from who? ODP is barely above rec level in Oregon. The ECNL teams would have to play then 7v11 just to make a game of it. The ECNL clubs would never want to embarrass the ODP girls in that way. Some of them might quit soccer altogether and then their Timbers clubs would have to fold too.

Yes. And Thusc finished 4th, which is respectable. ODP combines better players from both clubs along with those from other clubs. I don't get your argument. You think that a team selected from better players including the pre-ecnl teams isn't better?

Take any Xfire/THUSC/FCP players off the state ODP rosters (there aren't that many anyway as those clubs don't support ODP) and play what's left of the ODP team vs FCP. ODP will not win.

So FCP is the best team in Oregon at U13?

The pre encl teams would never allow a friendly vs the odp state team. They would lose and it would wreak havoc with the marketing of their ultra-expensive program.

                              ECNL is going bye bye.

USSDA will be taking over which is essentially ODP.

Keep dreaming. 95% of the top clubs are already in ECNL. Anybody that's left is 2nd or 3rd tier at best. Create a new league if you want but who really needs a 3rd tier national rec league? USYS already tried to compete with ECNL with their "National League" and that has been an abysmal failure. Can any league that invites FC Salmon Creek to play really be considered "top level"???
