Spanked at regionals would be a good epitaph.

That's no difference than every Oregon team (w/the rare exception) but all top Oregon teams fight for the honor to go to Regionals & get spanked since it's all we have.

So we should just let teams go rouge and leave the club every time things don't go the way a poorly behaved coach or entitled group of parents want? It's the parents and coach who are to blame here. I have absolutely no connection to this team, and never write on this crazy site, but need to stand up to the crazy youth soccer monsters. I would guess that most of the girls on that team were coached and developed for several years at their original club- lots of people probably put time into them as players. Going rogue hurts the players that left, the age group they left behind, and their opponents. Furthermore, what message are you sending-- when the going gets tough, run away. You might think you have a good thing going with your coach and team, but it's a very short sighted outlook you have. And you deserve what you got in terms of league placement-- a year down the tubes-- no one to blame but coach and parents.

No, you don't need to stand up, because you are the crazy one. You think because kids play for a year or two at a club and learn some skills, they are committed for life? Those coaches were paid to teach them. These are paying customers and if they don't like the product or think another product out there will suit them better, why shouldn't they be able to leave? They aren't running away from responsibilities, just choosing a different option. Lighten up, it's changing soccer clubs at age 12, not running out on your wife and kids.

I'm not that ruler guy. No dog in the fight but I side with TT on this one. DoCs/Clubs want to be judge jury, executioner and absolute ruler. They want parents & players to have zero say in anything yet foot the bill for everything. The players/parents are the PAYING customers. Clubs forget this important fact too often. They also often forget they are supposedly in this business to be helping kids, NOT creating their own fiefdoms at the expense of the kids. A WT CopaTS girls team did something similar a few years ago after taking 2nd in State Cup.

Didn't the club refund the money if the family left? TT parents feel they did what was right by following their coach. Club did what they felt was right by releasing the coach. I don't know the specifics, but a family friend is involved and it didn't sound like a black or white issue. Kids wanted to stay with friends.

Folks are sticking up for TT versus the club DoCs (and also the poster on TS who basically said all the TT girls should be punished with at least one year of no soccer for leaving their club)who voted to boot them out of the Gold Division and out of NWCL. BSC might not even be a big part of it all and was nice about refunding everyone's money.

As parents and paying customers perhaps we should demand new club contracts that allow for unsatisfied players to leave and only get a pro rated bill for the time the services were rendered. Certainly would make clubs act more in favor of the players - their customers.

Dude, you have no idea what you are talking about, just flapping out of your 4$$ and trying to stir it up. 1st you state that no one received refunds, then when you are shut down there, you state that players are practicing elsewhere and the team will break up, move on, your statements are all BS. You're probably the same tool that kept stating that TTs best 3 players left for FCP. Douche.
