With teams splitting up next season to birth year, how will this impact FWRL regional championships with rosters requiring x amount of players coming from the original team? Cause you can't play down, correct?

They are going to have to adjust the rules because most teams will change quite a bit.

Can't play down. There will be a one-year rule adjustment to allow for the roster realignments.

If a club's current U13 team qualifies (with 2003 & 2002 kids) for fwrl next year, which team gets to go: the new 2003 team or the new 2002 team?

As always, the same roster that won state. No new players, ever. Even though tryouts are in May, the 2015-16 season doesn't end until after Nationals in July.

That is up to OYSA. From the list of teams that apply for FWRL, OYSA decides who represents Oregon. There is no "qualifying" per se. Winning more just gives you a better chance of being selected by OYSA.

Well, the 2003 team would be too young as it's the 2002's that will be U14 next year.

Yep. Not a big deal. Always worked out before. Have them all practice together.

Only 1 team is going, don't stress over this.

My point is this is a big mess to switch over. Way more complicated that just doing it and saying deal with it.
