I am not sure the Portland teams will play ECNL in a couple of years. Witness the train wreck that is the older ages.

Parents won't stand for dropping $8000 to $10000 per year for just their kid, plus $5000 parent travel, and getting roughed up all year long.

What train wreck is this? Both U14 teams are doing very well in competitions like NWCL. The U15+ teams haven't even practiced or played yet but all of them have many top quality players. I know you don't want to believe it, probably because your kid's not good enough, but it's true. ECNL will be fine. Now the Thorns Academy on the other hand...

Thorns Academy has a massive professional sports organization throwing it's weight behind it. They will rise to the top. They will have 5 times the resources the small non-profits will have.

CU U14s are doing well. Much better than any OYSA teams did in NWCL.

And the Thorns Academy has no resources behind it. Why do you think they hired a rookie coach and had to build a roster from 3 different age groups just to get one team. The Academy is a one hit wonder just to keep the Usonian girls in the TA "house" and try to derail the ECNL effort. Didn't work and the Timbers know they failed. Now they just have to gracefully bow out of the game they never should have been competing in.

CFC may win games now because how they play works now but won't later. They don't have any really good soccer players, just big and physical girls and that works for now. Good luck next year with that.

CFC just eats a lot of bean burritos before games and blasts off at kickoff. Opponent needs oxygen at half time. Yep we gas our competition, it's the new way to play.

You must live in fantasy land. That CU U14 team is not only bad, but they are laughable. You can take any number of OPL/OYSA teams and do just as well as they are doing. Please, stop hitting the bottle in the middle of the day. You are embarrasing yourself. That team is just terrible. The Mustang Stampede organizers told Tom to not reapply until the team is significantly improved unless he wants to be put in the lower division of the tournament.
