OPL to Sanction FCSC and Pacific FC for Guest Player Use Abuses

Given the egregious abuse of guest player usage and double rostering of GU-13 players by FCSC and Pacific FC during the past 12 months, would it be appropriate for the OPL to step in to investigate and have a finding of facts?

Would clear rules and enforcement end these abuses which have also occurred at other OPL member clubs as well?

    Forum members...please proceed.

Obviously they played within the rules.

In what games and/or leagues? My kids teams have yet to play a team from either of those clubs and both of my kids play in OPL and in a number of local tournaments. I guess FCSC has a decent team or two in U13 and below, but all of their older teams suck. And Pacific? I guess I do remember playing them about three years ago and they sucked. Team disappeared after that.

Nobody's going to do anything because every club in the OPL does it. you obviously have an axe to grind. what you're not good enough that she got benched for other players?

Yes you joke of a "coach". How dare you call us out. You sat 12-13 year old girls for entire games so you could bring in your kid and other players so you could win some dumb league games. I don't care if you stated that in the first team meeting, people trust you enough to think you are doing what is right. Clearly not. I hope they sanction the blank out of you for your inability to do what is right by the kids and the club for allowing someone like you to do things especially as a adoc. Clearly a license means jack when you don't know what you are doing.

Don't you dare say its an axe to grind when you pull that crap and expect to blame it on being selfish.

OMG. Tryouts are in a few weeks. Just move to another club or team if you dont like it where your at.

This to me is the work of a selfish parent whos kid was easily benched on a sub par team, at a sub par club and probably worshiped every minute they did play in a game. Now that there are only days left in the season they fire up the grinder hoping to get the last word in before they depart. If your kid was any better it never would have happened in the first place.

Wake up and smell the coffee, your toast is burning.

Every club moves players up and down. It's allowed in the OPL rules and there are essentially no limitations other than age. Now if the OPL had a "max games per year" rule for players to help ensure that the movement was for development purposes only we might be getting somewhere. Until then, it's a case of "don't like it, leave" at most clubs.

I am curious to know how you believe players are being double-rostered? Club registrars have to see player docs and go online to register the players for USCS. Once registered, the USCS registrar confirms and authorizes player cards and the formal roster. If there is duplicate rostering, it appears and is flagged to be corrected.

Eventually, the teams have to present this roster and player cards to the refs before each game. You can have guest players from your club during league play. USCS State Cup requires a roster freeze. So, are your observations based on UCSC league or USCS Washington state cup?

I don't think anyone knows what the ^%# you are talking about let alone anything that has to do with the rule breaking and abuse of guest players for the player and the club.

US Club and the OPL allow you to write in guest players on your roster. The players need to be from your club for OPL league matches but could be from other clubs (with proper loan paperwork) for some tournaments. Of course, once you get to state cup the rosters are frozen and no write-ins are allowed.

                      OPL Rule #1

If a club is paying its bill, they can do whatever they want.

                      Signed the OPC (the elite)

Just slap the "for development purposes" label on it & not do it against LO and you can do whatever.

Doesn't FCSC actually have to WIN for it to matter? Since they are still unsuccessful it sounds like much ado about nothing.

The collateral damage is the most important. Funny how they don't give a rats about that.
