Pacific really is no threat. And most of the back and forth is just that. A discussion that turns into a debate which turns into both sides lobbing grenades. My point is that the people on the Pacific or fcsc are no less guilty.

My honest opinion is that Pacific serves a purpose. FCSC maybe a small purpose but much less, given bang for your buck. With Pacific you get a little better cost, and a little less commitment to soccer. and with that, you get volunteer coaches and less resources and less opportunities. If you live in battleground or north vancouver and soccer is your second or 3rd sport, play pacific. I get that. If your kid has aspirations beyond that for soccer, VT is a better choice. Now of course, that is a generalized statement. Maybe there is age group or gender that just happens to have a great coach and top talent at a pacific. If that's the case, fine. But to me, if my kid had higher aspirations, it makes sense to shoot for at least the A or B team at VT, maybe even C. And the lower tiers are cheaper so even that makes sense to do VT unless pacific is in your backyard. Just my honest opinion.

Now that is a honest opinion, whether I agree with or not, that I can definitely respect. I would rather listen to what clubs, coaches, & programs have to offer than the constant tearing down of all 3 clubs or any club for that matter.

These personal attacks on individual coaches, clubs, or kids is beyond my comprehension. Especially the 99 age group. I get that when people have a bad experience, it make sense to express it, discuss it, deal with it, & move on to greener pastures. It's crazy that it gets so personal and nasty.

I do believe they lost to the a Pacific "B" team U10 last year by ALOT. I think if the girls stick together they will be a very strong team but, I think the parents don't realize how good the other Portland and Seattle clubs can be and VT is always able to produce at least one strong girls team each age group too. With that all said, I think many parents will realize that if they want their DD to have a chance to really be looked at when get older you need to get into a club with strong connections to produce. It's hard for single teams to get looked at. Look how many kids get scholarships at bigger clubs versus Pacific. Enjoy your wins now as it get tougher when you actually start playing in the higher brackets and get older. Oh, and the website does say 550 dollars and that still is alot of money to people to spend on a 9 year old.

Yes, he is a great trainer. I'm glad he doesn't get into club politics and he is willing to train any kid who has desire regardless of the club they decide to play with and does. Did you not know this?

Would clear rules and enforcement end these abuses which have also occurred at other OPL member clubs as well?

            Forum members...please proceed.

If the kids and the clubs want them rostered on both teams and willing to pay then who cares.

It is not like they are lying about a kid's age so they can beat up on younger kids.

He trains the Pacific academy girls, did you not know this. And Pacific pays him to do this. Where as, FCSC asks for his services but for free, so their club will make money off of him. Which is why he does not train for their academy. Probably why Pacific has 50-60 girls in their academy in just two years and FCSC has like 15, after running it for 5 years. One club making 3 teams and one club might not be able to make one. Did you not know this?

Well two clubs in the area see it as a way to develop and get lots of kids into your program and charge a reasonable price. Another sees it as a way to make money and charges a lot for a lot less. Two are growing and one is shrinking.

I wonder how he will feel when he reads this post and sees how WONDERFUL you Pacific parents are. Thank god he does not get in to the politics and by the way, he trains players from all 3 clubs. Your comments are why some parents choose to go to FCSC or VT so, we don't have to stand next to the sidelines with you.

FYI - BL and JC read this forum and I don't think they are the type of coaches that will put up with parents posting this. It lacks total class. I hope they fiqure our who parents like you are fast before it grows into a weed and you ruin the team. Also, Alberto is a really nice guy and I don't think he would appreciate using him as part of your naming calling on FCSC or any other club. He is running a business and stays out of the politics. You really need to grow up some. You fail to realize that if FCSC comes into Pacific then the people you are slamming this year might be teammates next year. Your post lacks any type of maturity on your part and places Pacific in a bad light. Remember their are 50 to 60 girls in the club and thats enough to replace your DD if coaches can't deal with parent.

This is the SC way, they try to get lots of free training. This is very common over there. This is why yu dont see as many clinics as you used to. They want everything for free, so they can make money off of it.

Wow, such anger towards another club and families coming from someone who's kid is just starting down club ball road. Hate to see what your posting will be like in 3 years. I hope the coaches pick wisely on Friday and start weeding the garden.

Yah! Stupid SC for trying to make a little money. Unlike the VT/WT who now have 4 DOC and a GM and have had the numbers for years and years (with only 1 DOC at the time) but they can't put together 1 decent field to play on in Clark County let alone enough for the 3500+ players they now have. Who is making money and lining their pockets and their houses and their boats.......... as I drop my kid off at Burnt Bridge Creek (aka needle infested/car prowling/drug dealing/ghetto field) for practice 2x per week and go watch my DS play Championship Cup games at the muddy, pot-hole complex called Harmony. It's a business people but who is benefiting the most?

I think there is a generally bad fields in Clark County. The Battle Ground fields not so great either. To bad the clubs can't come together to get a great soccer complex build for everyone or Parks and Rec dept. Luke Jensen great but, so busy hard to find field time.

How did the tryouts go yesterday for FCSC and Pacific? This was first attempt to try to start to blend the clubs?

Nothing to blend. FCSC brought nothing to the table, except one coach. No one else from SC out there.
