Ryan Johnson Oregon Surf Runs Jesuit Womens Soccer

Well well look who's brought his crooked expertise to the Varsity Soccer Program at Jesuit. Unbelievable such a program is run by this crook Ryan Johnson and ruining youth soccer in high school. He already destroyed the program at Portland Thorns 2010 Girls got fired and doing his magic at Surf. Never in a million years would have thought behind the scenes would be with the Varsity coaches and recruiting players from Thorns and Surf. Sisters are on Varsity now. Of course pay to play is back in full swing. Package deals sold at large prices if you know RJ and his gang. Discounts available for friends and family. Too bad Jesuit allows this to happen and how much everybody makes.

Never in a mission years did you think that Jesuit would be recruiting players. Are you new here or just stupid?

I sincerely hope that RJ has nothing to do with who is ON varsity or who on varsity is getting playing time. If this turns out to be true, I will have no respect left for the program.

If you can prove this is happening, I urge you to take it to the administration. The school president. The school principal. The athletic director. The assistant athletic director. The vice principal in charge of athletics. Anyone!
Every year athletes are cut from this program. Fine. But if these athletes are being cut because they haven’t participated in a pay-to-play scheme with the “right” individuals?? Or because a club coach’s kid doesn’t “like” them?? Or because they chose one club over another??
I’m not a huge fan of this program, but I really, really hope this isn’t true.

A private Catholic school recruiting students is one thing.
a private Catholic school allowing the dad of a varsity athlete to make decisions about who does and doesn’t make the team??
          That’s…
I don’t even know what that is. Disappointing at the very least.

ANY parent whose athlete plays for the club that fired RJ should be asking some hard questions.
Any parent whose athlete left the club that hired RJ, and now plays for the club that fired him should also be asking some hard questions.
Any player who, it now appears RJ had a hand in placing on a JV team, better be demonstratively worse than the athletes he had a hand in placing on varsity.
I know there are a few whose placement was… curious.
            This makes it less so.

            Sigh.
Just when I thought the politics of hs soccer couldn’t get any more corrupt.

I think you guys get catholic Jesuit sexual predators mixed up with people who actually care about kids.

their last coach was dismissed for what? Yeah they don’t care, they only care about what kid they can put in a shady position.

              great hire

No one cares about Jesuit. No one cares about Ryan johnson. No one cares about surf . No one cares about your ax to grind.

High schools aren’t listening to any parents and that school has won forever, this guy isn’t contributing or changing anything.

                  Sadly, this is probably true.

Yeah, but no one cares. Jesuit will always have an asterisk by their wins due to the recruiting that Fennah and team do. It happens. My daughter was “invited” to several camps and spoke with Fennah. He was actively asking her to come to Jesuit.
if you parents were being honest, you would say this too.

The Ryan Johnson thing is real. He spoke with Steve many times about bringing kids to Jesuit. There are 5 including his daughter that he “brought” to Jesuit with Fennah’s blessing.

Jesuit can do whatever they want as a private school, but I wish OSAA would look at this and determine that Jesuit has an unfair advantage to all other schools in 6A.

you can all say LaSalle, Central Catholic, Saint Mary’s etc…. Big difference is that they don’t recruit. Never have. Jesuit does and everyone knows it.

So, they will win a state championship this year again. And no one will cheer for them, no one will care. Other than the parents of Jesuit players. Everyone else will say “Jesuit recruits players and that’s how they dominate”.

No one cares. When you cheat you lose, even when you win.

Can we expect a few more sophomore transfers to come in and bump the year-round soccer players who attended Catholic K-8 schools and got in on their own merit?
Maybe SF will look the seniors he’s cutting from the program in the eye and tell them, “Sorry, you didn’t get RJ’s seal of approval.”?
Perhaps some “unknowns” who are in conversation with college soccer programs, but who have escaped the notice of a dude like RJ will get axed for a freshman?

                          Honestly, Jesuit.

Jesuit won 76 games in a row and all of you people sat back and let that happen like it is normal. It is not. This was cheating, recruiting, etc.. and yet no one made a big deal about it while all other schools lost year after year to team that was built by recruiting top players.

I hope one day people will step up and demand that Jesuit be put in their own league until they can assure that recruiting players is not acceptable practice.

All other schools work with the players in their district and bust their as-es to get better, only to play this team full of ECNL recruited players.

name 1 player on varsity that isn’t ECNL. We will wait.

its BS and until all of you wrote OSAA and create enough noice that someone finally puts a stop to this nonsense. It will always happen.

it’s not fair. Recruiting is not ok. Having a private school do this and play against public schools is stupid.

Jesuit parents should be pissed that girls soccer players are getting vip access to enrollment based on their ability over kids that want to go there for the academics. Shame on Jesuit and the way they cheat. But hey, let’s all just keep talking about it and not do anything. That should help.
