Older kids just start a couple weeks earlier, most State Cup teams still have games left - younger and older.

True, but as i understand it, seeding is based on standings as of March 18, so this weekend is moot for seeding/scheduling purposes.

A quick glance at the schedules and you will see that ALL state cup leagues for ALL age brackets go through this coming weekend. So the quote you referenced is NOT true. But it is true that the seeding for U-15 and above is based on games played before March 18th.

Seeding for U14 and below is based on fall league. OPL should have had that figured out by now...

seeding is one thing, teams actually signing up and paying to play is another.

The OPL and OYSA are both jockeying for fields. If either are short, they are looking around trying secure them without over paying for time not needed or used.
