I'm making no comment about the coach--the team had some very good players at the top, but also had several non-premier players in its starting lineup. In short, it wasn't deep, and tended to get beaten by the schools that fill an entire roster with kids on state cup rosters in club.

And I'm not attributing most of a player's development to a HS coach; given the limits placed on the high school season, we all know that's asinine. Though some kids learn a lot in high school, especially the ones for whom organized club soccer, especially travel teams, pose a financial hardship.
Name the school please. Because your statements contradict the school that fits this: Lincoln

That's because Lincoln isn't the answer. (Though Lincoln may fit the bill).

      It's in the Metro League.

Reynolds keeping it close against both #1 teams? Just a few hours ago Lakeridge barely beat Reynolds 3-2 and it was surprisingly close.

Thank you. I guess I forgot about Brian. Looks like doesn’t even show on OSUs 2024 roster anymore.

With the 6a bracket literally set in stone for the top 4 teams this prediction is likely. The question to ask is can LR smack the U of J 2x in one season?

Jesut has better players position v position but most of them are soft and I don’t think their coach cares too much. LR is hungry and therefore will repeat.

Sherwood, Grant and Franklin are still dark horses to me.

I agree. Coach Skipper at J High just doesn’t seem hungry. Plays the weak players too long. Jesuits defense is their weak point.

I’d like to see some upsets but with these brackets it looks like status quo .

I was able to catch the second half of Lakeridge's second round game last night, and they did not seem like a top team. Wells dominated the half and had a number of chances to tie it up at 3-3, before giving up a last second goal while their players started walking away a couple of seconds early. Won't be surprised if Grant ends up in the semis.

Interesting results yesterday in 6a. You called this. Lakerridge got too confident and now gets to watch from the sidelines. Beaverton bottled like I had said they would under Jason and they get to tell their grandkids about their metro league banner for 30 years. Laughing. BM and his little rich kids apparently need to do more private trainings to beat the other rich kids. And McNary and McMinville just keep winning.

5a had a bunch go to pks. Tough way to win or lose.

Mcminville-Franklin was a great atmosphere and a great match. Two senior-laden clubs emptying the tank and leaving it all on the pitch. Should be some electric semi matches.
