Just got home after strange episode at Howard M. Terpenning Complex (THRPD Turf). Briefly, I paid via untraceable vemno, we were all escorted off fields and local authorities issued trespassing citation since the 'private trainer' was a serial and habitual offender.

Should of known better.

First off, I wanted to say I’m sorry for the horrible experience that you went through trying to get private training for your kid. I understand that I wasn’t very personable in my first post so I apologize for that.

I’m a 17 year old soccer player currently on Thorns FC. I have started doing summer private trainings to make extra cash while doing what I love most. My goal is to provide specialized training sessions for each kid and to improve their skill. My number is 503-597-8652, please text me if you’re interested in private training for your kid. You do know you need a permit to use the fields at THPRD? There are plenty of parks you can train at, but since they are open to the public, you might have to share the field with other park users.

I’m an attorney, and it is a good idea to have some sort of liability insurance. As a minor you might risk your parents’ assets if you don’t have some coverage. You can get waivers from
people but that is not at all a guarantee that you’re protected.

Also, I think trying to hang your own shingle is great and it doesn’t seem like you are trying to overcharge people. There are many kids and parents that are looking for someone to help with some extra practice and provide some direction.

I admire the effort.

Unfortunately, in this day and age, out of the goodness of your heart you will probably get sued by some kids' parents who might accidentally get hurt at one of your sessions. Better to protect yourself in this crazy soccer universe here in OR.
