A lot of it imported. But NCAA D1 is practically a pro development league these days. And I would argue that the quality of play in power-conf D1 has increased due to the foreign imports and their focus on recruiting at MLS and foreign academies.
(The quality of the top D1 teams is probably similar to MLS Next Pro or USL League One, both in the third tier of the US Soccer pyramid, even though NCAA soccer is outside the Federation-specified structure. The bottom 2/3 of D1 men's soccer, as well as the top D2 schools, are more equivalent to USL2 or UPSL, leagues in the unofficial "fourth division" of the pyramid).
In state only OSU in the Men's side has kept up with the foreign flavor and as such has been a top 10 D1 program for over 5 years.

Will it last?
With the wide open transfer portal I would think they could restock the cupboard every year with experienced upperclassmen and internationals rather than rolling the dice with high school recruits. But the upcoming NCAA roster caps and the likely cratering of revenue from the new revamped "Pac 12" is a total wild card. It will be interesting to watch how the non-revenue sports hold up at schools that aren't in a power 4 conference for basketball/football. Unfortunately that may hit the Beavs pretty hard. Maybe U of O could divert some of that Nike money and bump their mens team up from just being a club sport.

Then they would have to add another women's sport (Title IX) or drop some other men's sport.
They already dropped wrestling and added baseball after OSU won a pair of nattys.
many of the top soccer schools are not power football schools.

Beavs have become a top mens soccer program at D1 and the overall OSU athletic program has been hit hard for decades, they found a way to thrive against all.odds. imagine they will be just fine.
