Here fishy fishy fishy fishy fishy!
Obvious names (only OR youth players, not college players who grew up elsewhere, so no Kasey Keller, Shannon MacMillan, etc) in no particular order. General criteria is players who either a) have significant careers in MLS or an equivalent or better league (NWSL for women), or b) significant senior international experience.
Farfan
Rubin
Hurtado
Barrett
Jaqua
Women:
Bixby (Geist)

Farfan is the last local player to stick around in MLS (a few others may have gotten a sniff but haven't been able to find a home there).
Mwanga was a former #1 pick out of Oregon State, but didn't last long in MLS, played in USL for a while, and is now retired.
Sawyer Jura (06) actually has gotten a first-team contract from the Timbers, but is still playing for T2, not the first team, despite the fact that the first team is presently terrible.
A few other local T2 and academy kids have been mentioned as Strong Prospects, but none has gotten anywhere near first-team minutes. (Meanwhile, another 14-year-old just got signed to an MLS contract elsewhere IIRC).
Lots of other "can't miss prospects" once touted by the Timbers.... missed, and are now playing for FC PDX and other local UPSL sides. I won't name and shame them.
Bottom line--actual pro prospects are rare as hens teeth from these parts. You need the intersection of world-class physical attributes that can't be coached (speed, size, stamina, reflexes, and such), high-level training or pickup scene, emotional maturity at a young age, and parental support. The first criteria by itself eliminates 99.99% of the pool, and then you need to provide said unicorns with an appropriate training environment--and it will have to be a training environment, as the local pickup scene stinks. (This is not Europe or South America, where high-level pickup games can be found in any park). Given that the local pro club has, until recently, been actively disinterested, and the large number of grifters who promise to provide high-level training environments but fail (in the modern ecosystem, no youth club can really do so, and the honest youth coaches will tell you that). it's not surprising that the region only produces one MLS-level pro every several years, and the number of truly world-class players to EVER come from Oregon still stands at zero.
