The issue of Washington clubs playing in Oregon leagues is it's own separate conversation, so let's talk about their fields. Yesterday there was an OPL U18 NPL Premier Division girls game played at the cow pasture commonly referred to as the Harmony Sports Complex. I haven't seen fields this bad in years. When you ask teams to travel two hours to play a game at least pick a field that is at a standard above a second grade Kidsports field. Now I know all you Vancouver folks who have infiltrated Oregon soccer because you don't want to drive to Seattle (cry that song to the families from Grants Pass, Roseburg, Bend and Medford) are going to try and defend yourselves, but if you're not able to bring more to the table than poorly maintained facilities and average teams then, with all due respect, thanks but no thanks!!! Shame on all you Portlandians for allowing Washington teams and girls to take away opportunities from Oregon teams and girls.

Vancouver Soccer Fields - Are You Kidding Me!!!
Really....is that the best you have??? That's a ridiculous reply. Are you trying to make a point the field was equally horrible for both teams??? Yes, both teams played on the same field and the field was equally horrible for both of them. I'm sure the home team was as embarrassed as the visiting team was appalled. Instead of spending time reading this maybe you should be volunteering to work on those fields. Otherwise, close 'em down, bring in the livestock, and use them like the pastures they are.

Now back to dressing like you have 5 minutes to pull your waldrobe together and go drink some colored water-PBR.
For the record there are major cities in Seattle and San Francisco, nothing in between, as the saying still goes.
So please quit pretending you are relevant. But yes you are better than Vantucky and NOTHING ELSE.

Vancouver Soccer Fields
I think the oldest and highest level of girls teams in the state not only deserve it, but have certainly earned the right to play on fields worthy of their accomplishments.

My son's team has scrimmaged and played on the Harmony Complex grass field, winning some losing others. So what?
Are you saying that playing on this particular grass field against one particular Washington team has taken away opportunities for your player(s)? LOL!!!
Tsk, tsk, shame, shame back at you, for all of your whining and crybaby mentality. My daughters and sons have played on grass fields in Eugene, Springfield, Corvallis, Bend, Grants Pass, Medford (a real cow field complete with cows and a porta-potty within 5 feet of one side of the field), Roseburg, and Ashland.
Your biases and anger management issues reflect poorly on you and no one else. Get off your high horse and suck it up. You are pathetic.
Sign me,
Portlander who is proud of the rest of the soccer community that keeps programs alive for all players!

Who doesn't want to play on quality fields?
I mean really??
Though some of the best players in the world have grown up on some piss poor fields.
... might have something to do with quality of touch they develop on them. Just a thought.
