The crazy parent is TA's personal recruiter for thusc of coarse he is going to take care of her. The girl is good though. Both thusc players 2 of the 3 players selected are good, but there was 6-8 others just as good though. TA is a snake you are either with him or against him and of coarse he is going to take care of his which coach would not. That's why there is no room for local club inclusion in the process with the exception of nomination to camp. Flawed system.

2 from THUSC
1 from vanc timbers
They only had 3 spots to award which is another problem with the process.
You could have for example 6 prospective national players but they can only award 3 spots at that pdp center. Now throw in the fact that you have the coaches and doc's of certain girls giving the evaluations makes for a bad system of identification. Would it not make more sense to have completely neutral national reps at these centers and award as many spots as needed. It really is an easy fix.

There was a lot of things that could have been done different to allow all the payers to show. I also agree that coaches and doc's should make recommendations but then the outside evaluators should run the camp.
The rest were invited to help promote ID2 and gain the experience.
The players are more or less selected before the camp. You are not going to make the selection based on watching a kid play for 3 hours.
Even club tryouts are 2 or 3 sessions.

I find it hard to believe that TA and Thusc would be political in the process and that players would be chosen based upon some agenda. But then again, I own two bridges and am in process of buying some swampland.

Out of the top 8 girls, probably 5 would be from Onyx.
It is almost a liability for a player to be from THUSC because they could have filled up the 3 spot with all THUSC players, but cannot do that because other parents and coaches would crap their pants. Not saying that the Timber's player deserved the spot, just saying that you could arguable say that the top 3 players at the clinic were with Onyx.

They are all very good players and all deserving of going on. I think as said earlier just look at the 99 regional holdovers and there is your pool of players, the vt girl did WA side. They are all very close in ability and all on any other day depending on format of training and evaluators been chosen. Lets move on now.
One of the VT girls is now with Onyx
That would make 5 out of 8.
That is not even with me telling you that the girl for Southside and Westside are not that good. The girl from Eugene is better then both of these players.
